My Little Angel at Three and Half Months!

My little angel when she was just a little "Nipper" with her mother and brother and sisters.

Bet you can't figure out which one she was??? LOL

My little Tabetha at 4 weeks old. She is so sweet in this picture.

Now at 3 1/2 months Tabby only seems to get prettier everyday.

In this picture she really looks more like a tiger than an angel.

Now just ignoring "Mama" and her camera Tabby finally goes to sleep and actually looks like the angel she used to be not the devil she has become! LOL

Now from my "Baby" to a more serious note.

    Meet Odie!

Meet Odie! My new little playmate.

He loves to play games! All you have to do is

    my pet!

This is my little fish, Ms. Sparkle Finny!
She wants someone to play with her and maybe even to give her a bite to eat. She gets lonely when I am not around.
Won't you play with her just a little?

    my pet!

Here is another ofmy little playmates. This is Spidee and his favorite thing is to chase flies and to make webs. Release a fly and watch what he does! He is a nice quiet pet. Better watch out that he doesn't think you are a big fly! BZZZZZZZZZ

    my pet!

I would like you to meet White Devil! When he howls at the moon everyone shivers! But he is as gentle and as kind as any dog could be unless you forget to feed him. When you give him his steak just remember to count all your fingers. If you are late with his supper you may find one or two missing!

    my pet!

Meey Chillie Willie. He is soooo cool in his little black tux! He is just standing around waiting for his date. But please be careful because Chillie will fall off the ice and get all wet. If you want to make him happy just throw him a fish. You'll find that he rarely misses a chance at a free meal!

    My hero cat!

Our pets play a very special part in all our lives! Each one of our pets are different and unique in their own way and we love them all. Above all they are loving and loyal to the end. This is the story one such animal: this is a true story!

The year was 1994 and summer was coming to an end. I had spent the day shopping for school supplies for my 14 year old son and now that evening had arrived I just wanted to relax. I was redoing an antique night stand and finished it earilier that evening and decided I was going to go to sleep early not at my usual 4-5 a.m. ritual.

I must have fallen into a deep sleep almost as soon as my head hit the pillow because the next thing I remember is my big male cat screaming at my bedroom door. Thinking it was because he was in heat I told him to go away and rolled over and went back to sleep. About five minutes later he was back again crying at my door. I got up this time because I was going to put him out so he could find a lady friend and then maybe I could get some sleep. When I opened my bedroom door nothing in the world had prepared me for the horror that was waiting for me on the otherside!  My entire house was pitch black and filled with a thick black smoke. My house was on fire and burning down around me; with Johnny and I still trapped in side. I opened the front door to let my cat out but he wouldn't leave the house; instead he ran back into the fire and to my son's bedroom. I tried to get to my son's room but the heat and smoke were to thick. There was nothing I could do except find my way out and get help. It took what seemed like forever to feel my way out. Then I ran next door to my brother's house and screamed at him to call the fire department, that my son was trapped inside. I didn't know at the time that someone had already called the fire department, an ambulance and the police when they had heard me sceaming. Meanwhile my poor brother had his hands full trying to calm me down as I was panic stricken.
I told them that Jonnie was in his room and while he did have an escape route he didn't use it. His room was on the first floor so all he had to do was crawl out his window. But Jonnie had frozen with fear and hadn't used it. So the firemen had to go into the blazing house to find him. At first they couldn't find him and thought maybe he had left the house already but after searching for a bit they found him, unconscious behind his bed. Aparently he thought he would be safe if he hid there. It took two firemen to get Jonnie out of that house and when they did I overheard one of them say "He's not breathing!". My heart stopped in that moment, as did my very life because of those three very horrifing words. Luckily the paramedics arrived just in time and manage to get Jonnie breathing again and took us to the hospital.
In the morning my brother, Donald, who was a volunteer fireman came to the hospital to see me. He told me that they weren't able to save my cat. They had found my poor angel laying in front of Jonnie's bedroom door. After he had gotten me up, he had tried to wake Jonnie up as well. Donald and the rest of the firemen also seen fit to bury my beautiful hero cat and treated him with the respect he deserved.
Jonathan was in the hospital for about 7 weeks and about 2 of those weeks were in intensive care for burn victims and me, most of my injuries are mental. To this day I have never forgotten the horror of that night and I still have nightmares, I guess I always will.
Thoughout this whole story I have not told you the name of my cat. The reason is that he was a dark grey cat. This beautiful cat gave up his  life to save the lives of his family. It is ironic because the name I had given him was "SMOKEY"!

    Take care,
    Kitty.

The reason I wrote this story is to start a new topic. I would love to hear about other pets, what they are like
and what kind of pet you have. Not all pets are heroes, but all pets have special meanings to different people. If you have a pet you would like to write about please tell us about them. I would love to hear about them. As you may have guessed I love animals, ALL animals.  Please if you have time leave a post. Thank you

    Kitty.
